Service & Booking Questions
How do I book an appointment?
You can call us directly at (708) 345-1423 to book your appointment. For certain services, such as color corrections or smoothing treatments, we recommend scheduling a consultation first to determine the appropriate time and service length.
Do you offer consultations before services?
Yes. We offer complimentary consultations before every appointment, and extended consultations for color corrections, custom dye services, or hair transformations. During this time, we discuss your goals, hair history, and the best plan to achieve your desired outcome.
Can I request a specific stylist?
Absolutely. If you have a preferred stylist, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Our front desk will inform you of their availability during booking.
Haircut & Styling FAQs
How often should I get a haircut?
For short styles or taper fades, we recommend every 3 to 4 weeks. For medium to long styles, trims every 6 to 8 weeks help maintain shape and prevent split ends.
Do you cut children's hair?
Yes. We provide haircuts for children of all ages in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Our stylists are experienced in working with kids and making the process easy for both parents and children.
What’s the difference between a razor cut and a scissor cut?
A razor cut creates soft, feathered ends and natural movement, while a scissor cut provides more structure and clean lines. Razor cuts are great for texture and volume; scissor cuts are ideal for precision and control. Your stylist will help determine what’s best for your hair type.
Color Services FAQs
Will coloring my hair damage it?
Our color services are performed using Next Level professional products, designed to be gentle and conditioning. We also offer bond-building and post-color treatments to protect hair integrity throughout the process.
What is the difference between balayage and highlights?
Balayage is a hand-painted technique that creates a soft, natural gradient, while highlights typically use foil to achieve more contrast and definition. Balayage tends to grow out more naturally and requires less frequent touch-ups.
Can you fix a bad color job from another salon or box dye?
Yes. We offer color correction services that focus on safely restoring balance, tone, and health to your hair. This often requires a consultation and may take more than one session, depending on the severity.
How long will my color last?
Longevity depends on your hair type, maintenance routine, and color choice. Generally, permanent color lasts 6 to 8 weeks, while semi-permanent glosses last 4 to 6 weeks. Proper at-home care is essential for lasting results.
Smoothing & Treatment FAQs
What is a keratin treatment?
A keratin treatment uses a protein-based formula to reduce frizz, improve smoothness, and enhance shine. It does not straighten the hair but makes it more manageable and healthier looking.
Is smoothing the same as straightening?
No. Our smoothing treatments do not permanently alter the curl pattern. They enhance shine and reduce puffiness without the long-term effects of chemical relaxers.
How long does a keratin or smoothing treatment last?
Results typically last 8 to 12 weeks depending on hair type and aftercare. Using sulfate-free products and avoiding excess heat or saltwater will extend the life of your treatment.
Extension, Dye & Styling FAQs
Do you offer hair extensions?
Yes, we offer extension consultations and installations by request. Availability depends on stylist scheduling and the method used. Call us to book a consultation and explore your options.
What’s included in custom dye services?
Custom dye services include personalized formulation, toning, and strategic placement of color to suit your face shape, undertones, and hair goals. These are ideal for fashion colors, color corrections, and dimensional blending.
Can I bring a photo for inspiration?
Absolutely. Bringing photos can help us understand your vision. We’ll assess your current hair and recommend the safest and most effective way to achieve a similar look.
